Apostle Ezekiel Murrell, Jr. is the Senior Pastor at Great Joy Worship Center located in Beaufort, North Carolina.

A native of Beaufort, North Carolina Apostle Ezekiel graduated from Queen Street High School located in Beaufort, North Carolina, He completed graduate studies at United Christian College, with an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Divinity. He also attended the School of Ministries under the teaching of the late Doctor Kelly Varner, Richland, North Carolina.

Apostle Ezekiel  received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in December, 1969 and was filled with the Holy Spirit three months later.

Apostle Ezekiel served under the leadership of Apostle Willie Murray, Pastor of God’s City of Refuge. During his tenure there, he was mentored and became an Elder affiliated with the teaching, authority and purpose of the church.
In July of 1980, Apostle Ezekiel became the Pastor of Great Joy Worship Center in Beaufort, North Carolina where he served with his wife, the late Jennie Murrell.

Apostle Ezekiel continues to serve as Senior Pastor at Great Joy Worship Center where he now serves with his wife Lena Murrell locally and extra-locally with a powerful teaching and preaching ministry in the word. He has a solid understanding of local church dynamics and is schooled in the principles of present truth.
